About
Mriya 1654 is a civilian search and rescue (SAR) organisation operating in Kharkiv. The organisation's core is its specialist K9 unit, which has been working at damaged sites since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. The team officially deploys with the State Emergency Service, responding to destroyed apartment buildings and other structures following attacks. Their highly trained dogs are specialised in locating people trapped beneath the rubble, trained to find both survivors and the deceased. Having deployed more than 100 times with emergency services, the Mriya 1654 K9 team provides an essential capability in challenging conditions, working to find the missing and bring vital aid and closure to victims and their families.
