Noel has been in and out of Ukraine since 2023, volunteering on evacuations with Dog Help Kharkiv. Working next to them showed him how much small local organisations get done, and Volara is his way of getting money to them directly, then reporting back on what it bought. He's originally from Switzerland and co-founded Human Made, where he still works.
