Resources ERT's medics use a VW Caddy to get to strike sites in Kharkiv, so it needs to be reliable. It spent June in the workshop and was back with the team by the start of July.

The workshop bench-tested the old fuel injectors first, then replaced all four. The front end got new shock absorbers, strut mounts, dust boots and control-arm bushings, then a wheel alignment. A new timing belt and water pump went in at the same time, along with a scheduled service: fresh oil and all four filters.

Old front struts, strut mounts and four used fuel injectors laid out on the rear floor of the Caddy, with filters, a bottle of engine oil and the timing belt kit beside them

Volara paid the workshop directly from its Ukrainian foundation: ₴122,215 (€2,366.79).

The team then started fitting out the inside for the crew, which is a separate job with its own costs. Their second vehicle is next in line for a service.

The repair was first on the list for the May donation to Resources ERT. Thank you to everyone who gave.

Rapid emergency response team supporting civilian rescue in Kharkiv

In Kharkiv, when a building is attacked, standard emergency services often cannot enter immediately. The specialized Emergency Response Team from Resources ERT does. The team reaches dangerous sites to provide advanced medical care, bridging the critical gap between injury and survival. This emergency response experience is the core of its civilian training. Resources ERT doesn't just teach theory; it empowers individuals with field-tested, certified skills its teams use in the most challenging environments, including emergency medical care, Basic Life Support (BLS), and Stop the Bleed.

Noel has been in and out of Ukraine since 2023, volunteering on evacuations with Dog Help Kharkiv. Working next to them showed him how much small local organisations get done, and Volara is his way of getting money to them directly, then reporting back on what it bought.
